Warm up for PFFB 2026 – a selection of favorite programs to get you in the mood
Before the 21st Porn Film Festival Berlin kicks off on October, 20th we’re getting everybody into the right festival spirit with a series of special screenings at two of our festival cinemas in Berlin.
PFFB curators present personal favorites from past editions and films that we simply want to show on the big screen once again.
Fucking Different XXX

The sexiest and naughtiest of Kiki Petersen’s (who will host this screening) Fucking Different short film programs – explicit and super queer.
In the four earlier films: “Fucking Different Berlin”, “-New York”, “-Tel Aviv” and “- Sao Paulo” it was the same city that the filmmakers had in common. In “Fucking Different XXX” it’s the passion for explicit sex scenes that brought eight international filmmakers together. The short films shot in Paris, Berlin and San Francisco are about intensive sex, quick sex, romantic sex, funny sex, the first sex and the last sex. The range goes from a lesbian quickie in the toilet, a bloodthirsty orgy, romantic fisting all the way to wet teenage dreams. The queer filmmaker each made films about “the other gender” and their sexuality. The result is a never seen before look upon sexual tastes and varieties, far from clichés, with a fresh and sometimes humorous approach.

Opening of the 21st Pornfilmfestival Berlin
On 20 October at 19:30, we’re opening the 21st edition of the Pornfilmfestival Berlin at Kino Colosseum with Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke’s delightfully bonkers romance, A Useful Ghost.
March loves his vacuum cleaner. Not just any vacuum: this one houses the soul of his dead wife Nat, who died of air pollution and found refuge inside the appliance. Together they take on possessed fridges, help an academic ladyboy and his lover fight corrupt politicians, face outraged in-laws, and enjoy reunited intimacy, even in bed. A sly satire on class, love, sex, and grief that never stops being funny. Winner of Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique. Join us at an opening that definitely won’t suck.
After the screening, we’ll celebrate the opening of the festival together with our guests, filmmakers and audience at a reception in the Colosseum foyer.

The film selection for the 21st edition of Pornfilmfestival Berlin has been finalized. The full festival programme will be published on this website from 1st October 2026.
Until then, join us at a series of preview events in Berlin and Bonn. We kick things off in August with an open-air short film screening at Kino Central.
Hot summer nights call for hot short films: On 5th August 2026, we’re presenting an open-air screening at Kino Central, featuring a selection of queer, sex-positive, experimental and surprising shorts from past editions of Pornfilmfestival Berlin.
Join us from 8:30 pm for an evening under the stars and a chance to revisit some festival favourites before this year’s edition in October.

Looking for Webmaster Support
To support our team, we are looking for Webmaster Support. The role focuses on maintaining and developing the festival’s bilingual WordPress website. Tasks include updates, technical improvements and ensuring responsive and accessible web design. The position also involves implementing the new festival website design. Another key task is supporting the connection between the website and our internal film database “Moviebase”. This includes working with form systems and API-based data transfer. The workload is about 2 hours per week during the year and 25–30 hours before and during the festival. For the current website redesign, an additional 20–30 hours are expected. We offer a modest stipend, insight into an international cultural festival and the opportunity to become part of the festival team.

Statement on the current events at the Berlinale
The team of the Pornfilmfestival Berlin stands in solidarity with Tricia Tuttle and the Berlinale management team. Our festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is different from the Berlinale in that it is rooted in subculture and not subject to the constraints or pressures of justification that come with state funding. We can only imagine how it feels when art collides with authority and is under such intense political pressure. For us, the Berlinale has always been an inspiration, a space for open political debate, a forum for cinematic daring and discomfort. We do not understand why a competent director should take the fall for political failings in Germany. Tricia Tuttle is good for the Berlinale, German cultural politics, and the film world, and her casual yet professional manner is an asset to Berlin and the queer community. We stand with her and the Berlinale team and hope that they can all continue to be as creative and unconventional as they have been.

The New Queer Radicals present the Cinema of Disobedience at Moviemento Kino
Cinema of Disobedience is a global collective movement of filmmakers that came into being in opposition to market-first logic, bureaucratic and non-transparent funding structures, and the expectation that cinema must be simplified to be sellable.
We are preparing ourselves against the right wing, masters of oversimplification, who will be manipulating the public. Cinema of Disobedience is a form of resistance.
Join us at Kino Moviemento to see the Aesthetics of Disobiedience against the narcotics of the ultra right wing.
