S*MAC is a new two-day gathering where curiosity, creativity, and desire pour into one another.
Through a wide range of formats (workshops, lectures, panel discussions, performances, markets and more) we’ll create a space for shared education, meaningful exchange, and collective practices around sex and sexuality.
Made Internationally, Put Together in Berlin
Initiated by a constellation of sex workers, sex educators, intimacy experts, community organizers, and practitioners from adult industry and sex positive worlds based in Berlin, epicentre for emerging art, sexual culture, and cutting-edge media and creative technology.

We aim to be an alternative to business expos or product-oriented trade-shows: A public-facing cultural program open to everyone, from the curious first-timer to dedicated practitioners and researchers.
With an organic connection to two world-class events for the creative adult industry — the PornFilmFestival Berlin and the Adult Industry Forum. And during the same week as VENUS Berlin, the largest sex industry trade show worldwide.
Who’s Coming
Our Intentions
Sex is a core part of being human, but these days many humans still think sex, even talking about it, is something to be ashamed — if not scared — of.
We want to change that. We believe in celebrating media, arts, and culture as critical spaces for safeguarding sexual freedoms, gender rights, freedom of speech, and other core values of democratic society.
That’s why S*MAC is launching as part of Pornfilmfestival Berlin, an independent film festival founded in 2006 focused on sexuality, politics, feminism, gender diversity, and body politics.
Over nearly two decades, the festival has built an international community, expanded ideas of what cinema and pornography can be, and created space for dialogue around sex work, kink, and queer representation with a consistent commitment to work by women and LGBTQ+ people. S*MAC builds on that.
S*MAC also complements another event within PornFilmFestival: the Adult Industry Forum (AIF), an invite-only event for professionals working within adult industries and connected fields.
