I am working on Dyke ’88 | San Francisco, a personal memoir of the 1980s before I left the city of my birth and when the dykes ruled. San Francisco lives in my mind as that beautiful, radical, creative, queer place. When AIDS ravaged the City and queer radicals took to the streets.

First step is to make a trailer/teaser to raise funding, no longer than 2 minutes. All footage is logged, audio is synced to video and the interviews transcribed. I am looking for a filmmaker/editor to work with me. Possibly a young queer with energy to burn. I want someone to work with, to collaborate with. I want a filmmaker who knows how to edit. Someone I click with who is interested in my story, the story of San Francisco at the height of a dyke led renaissance, when queers were coming from all over the world to be visibly out and proud. Bonking Berlin Bastards hat lange schon Status eines Underground-Punk-Pornoklassikers erreicht. Wie die Cazzo-Produktionen von Regisseur Bruce LaBruce war auch die Vision von ebo hill seiner Zeit voraus und ein spielerisches Destillat des Berliner Zeitgeistes der 90er und frühen 2000er Jahre: queer, industriell, hypersexuell, exhibitionistisch und angetrieben von elektronischer Musik. Die Geschichte wird zum großen Teil über den Soundtrack erzählt, der einer Gruppe von Hausbesetzern, Punks und Drag Queens folgt, die um die Jahrtausendwende ficken, feiern und durch eine leere Stadt stolpern.

Dieses Jahr war schwierig – und nachdem wir unser jährliches Programmer’s Meeting im Oktober 2020 verpasst haben, fühlt das PFFB-Team, dass es an der Zeit ist, wieder zusammenzukommen. Nimmt an diesem virtuellen Programmers Meeting teil, bei dem jede:r von uns 90 Sekunden Zeit hat, sich vorzustellen, über unsere Projekte zu sprechen, über die Auswirkungen der Pandemie auf unsere Pornos zu berichten oder/und darüber, was für die Zukunft geplant ist.

Es gibt Platz für 50 Teilnehmer:innen. Aber keine Sorge, es wird in Zukunft noch mehr davon geben.

Das Pornfilmfestival Berlin ist ein alternatives, unabhängiges Filmfestival rund um das Thema Sexualität, Politik, Feminismus- und Genderfragen.

In den letzten Jahren wollten wir uns auf einige Themen konzentrieren, die uns wichtig sind und von denen wir das Gefühl hatten, dass sie im Sex-/Erotikfilm nicht genug repräsentiert werden. Oder wir haben einfach nicht genug Filme eingereicht bekommen, die diese Themen im Fokus haben.

Mit diesem Aufruf wollen wir Filmemacher:innen ermutigen, Filme zu machen und einzureichen, die sich mit diesen Themen auseinandersetzen und rufen hiermit für das Jahr 2021 drei neue Wettbewerbssektionen ins Leben.

Die Themen sind:

Lesbischer Sex – im Gegensatz zu den Anfängen des Festivals hat in den letzten Jahren die Repräsentation von lesbischem und dyke Begehren und Sex in den Filmen, die zum Festival eingereicht werden, abgenommen. Lesbische Sichtbarkeit und Darstellung in Kombination mit Sex und Begehren ist uns immer noch wichtig und wir wollen mehr davon zeigen.

Schwarze, indigene und People of Color als Subjekte – nicht Objekte – von Sex und als sexuell agierende Individuen sind selbst im alternativen Porno noch sehr selten. Das Festival hat schon immer auf Themen wie schlechte Klischees und die fehlende Darstellung von Personen, die BiPoc sind, hingewiesen. Aber wir wollen mehr Filme, die eine breitere, bessere und vielfältigere Darstellung von Ethnizität und kultureller Vielfalt zeigen.

Alt, jung, alle Altersgruppen, alle Kombinationen – Alter ist ein Thema, das schon lange auf der Festivalagenda steht, aber in den Festivalfilmen nicht wirklich breit vertreten ist. Deshalb wollen wir mehr Filme, die Sex und Begehren jenseits der 50 oder 60 zeigen, Filme, die Altersunterschiede zwischen den Sexpartnern:innen zeigen, die mehr als nur ein paar Jahre betragen, wir wollen Körper aller (erwachsener) Altersgruppen und Interaktion, Diskussion und Wertschätzung der Generationen sehen.

Wir freuen uns, drei neue Preise anzukündigen, die in der Festivalausgabe 2021 vergeben werden, und wir rufen speziell zu Einsendungen in diesen Kategorien auf:

Aber auch im Kino geht das Pornfilmfestival etwas später wieder weiter! Im Dezember zeigen wir am 01.12.2020 „Rettet das Feuer“ und am 15.12.2020 das Kurzfilmprogramm „Political Porn Shorts“ im Kino Moviemento. Die restlichen Filme unserer Retrospektive „Ein Virus kennt keine Moral – Die Aids-Ära im Kino“ holen wir nach, die Termine werden noch bekannt gegeben. Und ab Januar zeigen wir jeden zweiten Dienstag im Monat ein neues Kurzfilmprogramm – bis September 2021 und oft auch in Anwesenheit der Filmemacher:innen.
