Visionär Film Festival – Encounters with new Talents will take place for its 4^th time from the 21^st to the 28^th of September 2020 @ACUDkino. Also see the website and Facebook.

Visionär supports new film directors from all over the world, presenting 9 first or second feature films in Competition. Visionär looks for edgy first steps with a relevant social and political topic, as well as a daring aesthetics, language, and vision. To connect the local with the international scene, Visionär has Short Berlin Encounters, a selection of short films made by Berlin filmmakers. Every year an internationally established director is honored with a homage and their debut film is shown. As an interdisciplinary event, Visionär presents also the Kino Sonico, a film concert dedicated to re-interpret and re-discover silent films from the past century through contemporary experimental music. This year, a selection of short films made by women* under the name Panorama Nordic | Female* Voides completes the program.

The @Queerfilmfestival starts tomorrow: The best queer films of the year from September 2nd till September 6th in 11 cities. 12 films are shown exclusively in 15 cinemas, 6 films can be seen online. All infos can be found on the website. Our special recommendation is the French erotic classic GLEICHUNG MIT EINEM UNBEKANNTEN (1980) from Dietrich de Velsa that was rediscovered by filmmaker Yann Gonzalez. Explicit, sensual and full of melancholy!

URGENT: PORN AND EROTIC MOVIES WANTED FOR INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

The non-profit association Cineffable is seeking porn and erotic movies  made by women filmmakers on lesbian and feminist themes for its 32nd edition of the Paris International Lesbian & Feminist Film Festival.

Our festival takes place every year in late October/early November in Paris and is open to an all-female audience. It aims at promoting and encouraging the work of by screening short and feature-length fiction and documentary films from the world over.

Now more than ever, we need to recognize the needs of sex workers — a community who is disproportionately made up of LGBTQ+ individuals. Dear filmmakers,

due to the current crisis, Pornfilmfestival Berlin would like to inform you that we are still working on our next edition planned to be held October 20-25, 2020.

We will check the changes of restrictions issued by the Berlin health authorities in regard of planned events like the Pornfilmfestival Berlin. Furthermore we are in close contact with our partners, the cinemas and clubs and other locations which got hit hard at as they are all closed at the moment.

The festival will only be held as a live audience event if the situation in October can guarantee a safe and healthy enviroment for all filmmakers, guests, audience and crew members of the festval.

Meanwhile we are previewing the submissions from home – so please continue to submit your films. Changes in regard of the timeline for submissions or festival dates will be communicated via our website.

We already got some submissions dealing with “Sex in times of Corona”. If you have a short dealing with this topic please send it to us. We would like to put these films online on our website before the festival starts with your permission. Please keep in mind that the films must not be too explicit as we have restrictive laws in Germany which don’t allow to show explicit material on a public website.
