The Pornfilmfestival loves toilet humor, and Gustavo Vinagre’s Bowels of Hell delivers exactly that. Shot in the style of 1990s straight-to-video Troma flicks, it’s a shitty story of grief, class and identity – and we mean that literally. Years after losing a child to a freak toilet accident, Malu finds the loos in her building killing off residents one by one. Meanwhile, she has to organize a gender reveal party for an insufferable influencer couple, while coming to terms with her own queer kid. Can she face the shit going down in the building and in her life? It’s peak midnight movie mayhem for this year’s festival.
