Pillion

Film program, GB 2025, 107 min., engl. OV + engl. UT

By: Harry Lighton

With: Alexander Skarsgård, Harry Melling

The unassuming Colin is electrified from the moment he meets the charismatic Ray. Soon, Ray lays out the terms for their future encounters. Colin submits with eager devotion, and the strikingly unequal pair enters a Dom/Sub relationship that is – at least initially – consensual and absolute. BDSM insiders may question the authenticity of the dynamic portrayed by Harry Lighton in his feature debut. What is undeniable, however, is that such a carefree portrayal of pleasurable power imbalance is rare on screen. “Pillion” not only destigmatizes a particular form of intimacy, but makes it enormously entertaining.
