Panel: The Next Wave of Eroticism and Sexuality in Art
S*MAC Forum, 60 min.
Those making the most interesting work relating to sexuality right now aren’t waiting for mainstream culture to catch up. They’re building new forms – in film, performance, technology, and community – that refuse the false choice between art and explicitness. This panel brings together directors, performers, and artists whose work treats sexuality as a site of genuine artistic inquiry that isn’t softened for galleries, not reduced to content nor cleaned up for brand partnerships. What does it mean to make erotic art now in a landscape of platform censorship, AI-generated content, and consumerism that wants to absorb everything into a product?
