Simon considers his porn consumption a problem and, in February, belatedly launches his own No Nut November. With his camera, he documents his abstinence, talks to two fellow challengers who also struggle with giving up porn, and, through conversations with his parents, his girlfriend, and addiction counseling, searches for a deeper meaning in his dependency. While his girlfriend supports him, Simon fears a breakdown in the relationship. He also wonders whether faith, sheer discipline, or an understanding of something deeper in his psyche might be the way out. With courage, self-reflection, and wit, the film reveals the darker sides of porn consumption and its effects on one’s own sexual sensitivity.
