In 2018, São Paulo is hosting the second edition of the “Mr. Leather Brazil” pageant. Four participants compete to win this coveted title. The winner receives the ribbon from the hands of the first Brazilian Mr. Leather, Dom Barbudo, and will bear responsibility to promote gay leather culture in the country. Director Daniel Nolasco follows the competitors for this title and creates a small miracle of a documentary film, showing in amusing and enlightening ways the peculiarities as well as the everyday life of the gay leather scene. He doesn‘t content himself with just documenting the events without commentary, but finds his very own, creative cinematic form that is appropriate to the playful self-portrayal of his protagonists.
