Without weighing down the film with great narrative ambitions, Roy tells the story of the bon vivant Gaetan, who inherits the castle of his rich uncle – but under the condition that he renounces his loose lifestyle and his erotic escapades. This almost classic comedy plot leaves plenty of room for good-humored, episodic slapstick – and in the wonderfully naïve, hedonistic joy of life, humor and sex that this ancillary work of French porn history radiates, it shows much of what makes the French porn film of the 1970s so special and so beautiful.
