A surprisingly ecstatic film version of Sarah Waters’ novel FINGERSMITH by Korean master director Park Chan-wook. This twisted S/M thriller plays other than in Victorian England in Japanese occupied Korea of the 1930s. When thief Sookee comes to the home of rich Japanese heiress Hideko she is not the only one lying, betraying and seducing people. In the end only desire and lesbian love win.
