In 2011, we presented a retrospective of Wakefield Poole’s films at Pornfilmfestival Berlin: time capsules from an era where pornography dreamt of developing a sexually and aesthetically free form without tight regulations. Poole, who was awarded the first ever Pornfilmfestival Berlin Lifetime Achievement Award, shared a treasure of his memories with us. Director Jim Tushinski worked for years on his documentary which rescues this treasure for future generations.
