Cazzo’s cult classic’s Bonking Berlin Bastard’s soundtrack now available at Berghain-Inhouse-Label A-TON

Back in 2001, ebo hill’s movie Bonking Berlin Bastards was first released with Berlin’s porn film studio Cazzo Film. Twenty years on, the movie’s original soundtrack by AeoX and Rouage aka CNM with 15 tracks is available now for the first time through Berghain’s in-house label A-TON.

Bonking Berlin Bastards has long achieved the status of an underground punk porn classic. Like the Cazzo productions of director Bruce LaBruce, the vision of ebo hill was both ahead of its time and a playful distillation of 90s and early-2000s Berlin Zeitgeist: queer, industrial, hypersexual, exhibitionist and fueled by electronic music. The story is told in large part by the soundtrack, which follows a group of squatters, punks and drag queens as they fuck, party and stumble their way through an empty city at the turn of the millennium.

The soundtrack for the film was produced by improvisational techno trio AeoX and noise / industrial producer Rouage aka CNM (respectively). The music – appropriately pounding industrial, weird techno, noise, ultra stoned ambient, improvised dub and electro – is available now on CD, 2xLP and digital formats.

This year has been difficult – and having missed our annual programmer’s meeting in October of 2020, the PFFB team feels it’s time to gather again. Join us for this virtual programmer’s meeting where each of us will have 90 seconds to introduce ourselves, speak about our projects, share about the pandemic’s effect on our porn or/and what’s in store for the future.
There’s space for 50 people. But don’t worry, there will be more of these in the future. If you’re put on a waitlist, you’ll be the first to be invited to the next one.

The Pornfilmfestival Berlin is an alternative, independent film festival that focuses on sexuality, politics, feminism and gender issues.

In the last years we wanted to  focus on some issues that are important to us and that we felt don’t have enough representation in sex/erotic film. Or we simply didn’t have enough films submitted that have these themes in focus.

With this call we want to encourage filmmakers to make and to submit films that deal with these issues and initiate 3 new competition sections.

The issues in question are:

Lesbian sex – unlike in the beginning of the festival in the last couple of years the representation of lesbian and dyke desire and sex has decreased in the films that are being submitted to the festival. Lesbian visibility and representation in combination with sex and desire is still important to us and we want to show more of it.

Black, indigenous and people of color as subjects – not objects – of sex and as sexually acting individuals are still very rare even in alternative porn. The festival has always addressed issues like bad clichés and the lack of representation of persons that are BiPoc. But we want more films that show a broader, better and more diverse representation of ethnicity and cultural diversity.

Old, young, all ages, all combinations – age is an issue that is long on the festival agenda but hasn’t really seen a wide representation in the festival films. Therefore we want more films that show sex and desire beyond the age of 50 or 60, films that show age gaps between sex partners that can be more than just a few years, we want to see bodies of all (adult) ages and generational interaction, discussion and appreciation.

We’re excited to announce three new awards that will be presented in the 2021 festival edition, and we call specifically for entries in these categories:

The awards will be endowed with 500 Euro price money.

The films can be max. 20 minutes long and have to be submitted to the festival for the first time! Max. 3 films per film maker.

As all cinemas in Germany are closed from today until the end of the month, all our upcoming screenings in Kino Moviemento had to be postponed to a later date. Therefore and due to popular demand we have decided to extend our streaming offer.

If you didn’t manage to get a ticket for our online streaming in the week after the festival, you have another chance now to stream a selection of festival films from November 9th 2020 until November 16th 2020 from your home. This will also support the filmmakers, the festival, the cinemas and our streaming provider PinkLabel.TV. And a bit later the Pornfilmfestival Berlin will also continue on screen! Live screenings at Kino Moviemento will pick up again on December 1^st, 2020 with “Rettet das Feuer” and on December 15^th, 2020 with the short film program “Political Porn Shorts”. The other titles from our retrospective “A Virus Knows No Morals – The AIDS Era in Cinema” will be re-scheduled, the dates are yet to be announced. And from January until September 2021, on the second Tuesday of each month, we will present new short film programs, often with filmmaker present as guests.
