What is the real world? Urban and suburban landscapes may seem calm, but under Trump’s administration in the U.S., fear and uncertainty have become a reality for many. Building communities where personal values, beliefs, and spirituality are shared and respected is essential. Blending science fiction, road movie, and documentary, we follow performance artist and nomadic siren Una the Mermaid into the depths of the merfolk subculture. There, the search begins for an existence beyond humanity – where life can find balance with the longing for more: more love, more queerness, more acceptance.
