Elda is on a journey. She navigates daily life as a young musician building a career in rural Argentina – and she is also Diego. Amid shifting roles and responsibilities, she finds intimacy and the companionship of friends in a remote place where queerness can be dangerous. A long pilgrimage to an altar dedicated to a trans woman who was murdered becomes a deeply personal quest to reexamine her identity, beliefs, and inner contradictions. As fluid as Elda herself, this hybrid film – blending documentary and fiction – follows a path toward freedom beyond all conventions, immersed in pop, a powerful soundtrack, and stunning landscapes.
