The festival wraps with a true thriller offering a sexier alternative to Germany’s typical “Tatort” Sunday: “Blowie”, a wonderfully humorous British murder story. A group of sex workers gather in a secluded villa to shoot new videos together. A tragic accident occurs – is initially covered up. But events soon take a turn for the worse and it’s a fight for bare survival amid sex scenes that are sometimes kinky and sometimes intimate. The altSHIFT team from London has succeeded in weaving strong sex scenes into a gripping feature film that also cleverly pokes fun at its own genre.
