The Sex Worker Section of the trade union FAU Berlin invites you to a panel discussion with a focus on common problems porn performers face as well as possible solutions and strategies.
How do the broad changes in the adult business shift the dynamics between performers and their work environment? How are performers affected by society’s systemic and often material forms of discrimination, from online censorship and bank discrimination to racism and stigma? What power do performers have in an often precarious and rapidly changing gig-economy? And after all: What is to be done about it?
After a brief introduction to the Sex Worker Section as a trade union by and for all sex workers, the conversation will then go into detail on these issues, while also providing ideas on dealing with them and working towards greater performer empowerment. The event will be closed with a Q&A and space for discussion.
