Outside of Japan, pornographic anime films are called Hentai (which translates as “perversion” or “transformation”), a genre that has become increasingly popular on internet porn platforms in recent years. The animated form offers an exaggeration of bodily features or fantastical elements like tentacles or fantasy creatures. A number of subgenres developed whose characters are drawn to look extremely young, often as Lolitas or in school uniforms.

This year, the Pornfilmfestival takes a closer look at the genre. In our “Label in Focus” strand, we are welcoming a pioneer – “My Hentai Porn”. 25 years ago the studio started out to bring uncensored Hentai films to Europe on VHS, DVD and BluRay. “My Hentai Porn” does not only offer its films online, but they also enable Hentai lovers to connect via their platform. With a selection of films and the chance to discuss with Sinan from “My Hentai Porn”, we invite you and a journey through this world.
