Berlin, 1990: During the research for the final part of his AIDS trilogy, director Rosa von Praunheim finds a party atmosphere pervading the newly reunited Berlin, “There’s nobody who likes safe sex”, say some, while they still plead for caution. “You also have to be free to fuck yourself to death”, is the extreme response of others who do not want to see their hard-earned gay identity reduced to an AIDS identity by voluntary restrictions. After two films about HIV/AIDS activists in New York City, Praunheim also tracks down political activists in Germany. However, he observes that they become associated with the unpleasant truth and are thus avoided, on an act of shooting the messenger.

A statement by four Berlin artists: Detlev Meyer (novelist), Eschi Rehm (composer and musician, who also scored this video), May Goldt (poet and singer) and Wieland Speck (filmmaker). With the help of some models they show all about condoms. How to use them, what types are available, which condom can be used for what and other important Dos and Don’ts.

This is “real” porn, to be used, wherever porn is shown (sex shops, saunas, bars), in order to increase the presence of condoms on screen. The film was also available in porn rental places, as a freebie to go with commercial porn. This video shows that it doesn’t matter, where and with whom or even with how many people you have sex, as long as it happens in a safe way! Original score by Eschi Rehm, including a track by “Pionier Seriös” with Jürgen Baldiga.
