Sexworker Stigma and Survival during the Pandemic
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 2021.
A NEW DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED.
Much like the AIDS epidemic of the 1980’s sexworkers are once again being stigmatized as “super spreaders” or vectors of disease and seeing our workplaces shut down amid the covid pandemic. Whilst many workers have turned to innovative ways to earn money online, many others have had to continue in person work facing increasing risk and uncertainty.
This panel brings together workers from diverse backgrounds to discuss the impact covid has had on an already stigmatized industry and what we are doing to fight back against stigma, criminalization, workplace closure and health risks.
