BOYS FOR SALE, by young director Itako, portrays a number of male sex workers, a lot of them heterosexual, who sell their bodies to homosexual clients. They are able to work mostly undisturbed – because their pure existence is a taboo to the authorities. The film shows the consequences of the Japanese anti prostitution law, matching the film by Tatsumi Kumashiro in this year’s “Roman Porn” retrospective.
