In this workshop we will wake up the intelligence of perceptions and sensations to approach contact improvisation. We will focus on the skin as an organ of communication with the environment and the others. This generously innervated envelope covers the whole body and receives the informations of the outside world.

Organ of sensuality by excellence, the skin provides an access to experience the present moment. It has a most important and deep role in non verbal communication between beings in general, and in the practice of contact improvisation in particular.

In the frame of this festival we will have a specific interest on the qualities of sensuality and intimacy inherent to this practice. By orienting those energies towards creativity and not sexuality, we will explore how the erotic forces at work can support our expression. And through exploring this fantastic organ we will be getting more in touch with it and how it supports our physical & sensual experiences & interactions.

Tchivett is a Berlin based dancer, improviser and performer.
