Nikolas Schuppe, Nürnberg
A passionate film lover from birth. At school the discovery of Midnight Movies expanded his cinephile horizon. During his studies he began working at the KommKino Nürnberg – first as a projectionist, then as a program and festival curator. Nikolas is also active in the German cinephile scene and he often appears as a guest or behind the scenes at events and in the world of film distribution. In addition to a colorful genre cinema mix, he’s devoted himself above all to underground and experimental cinema, with a special focus on subversive and somatic cinema. Together with Jochen Werner, he founded the film club STUC – Der stählerne Filmclub in 2015, which has been curating the annual summer festival “Wochenende des stählernen Films” ever since.
