The Adult Industry only is the conference and networking event of the PFFB happening exlusively for members of the adult industry and and open to all filmmakers, content creators, performers, producers, distributors, festival curators, artists and journalists. The festival facilitates this space to encourage the different players to meet each other and discuss relevant topics. We focus on creating an open dialogue about ethical productions standards and practices, as well as encouraging collaborations and transfer resources. The program will consist of networking opportunities, panel discussions and presentations.

Porn performers, directors, and audiences know that sound matters, but that good quality can be hard to capture. In this beginner friendly workshop, you will learn how to record better audio for your audience from longtime sound recordist Andy Erson. Learn tips and tricks on making hotter audio gleaned from years working in the industry, as well as fundamentals that will help you improve your content whether or shooting with a big team, a small crew, or as a solo content creator. We will look at sound theory, equipment options for all budgets, and what you can do to make any room ready for the best quality erotic audio.

This two hours workshop introduces the topic of intimacy and consent in film andperformance, with a focus on the role of the Intimacy Coordinator.We’ll explore how ICs create safe, respectful environments for both simulated andunsimulated content, including diverse expressions of intimacy such as BDSM,and promote authentic and diverse representation of sexuality.The session features group exercises on boundaries and negotiation, providingpractical tools for performers and creatives to navigate intimate scenes.

What are the biggest threats? How do these change depending on the subject or entity? What opportunities exist? How can we best work together, across genres?

A collaborative performer led workshop focused on troubleshooting issues that commonly arise on porn sets and in collabs. Together we will broaden our toolkit for looking after ourselves and others before, during, and after intimate shoots. This lab is performer led. All creators, performers and members of production are welcome. The workshop will start through the facilitators introducing practical skills that they have implemented in their own work in the industry.

Award-winning filmmaker Shine Louise Houston presents a special “crash course” designed especially for new movie makers, though all are welcome to attend. She’ll address key principles and editing concepts, software options, show work examples, and reveal how editing can make or break the hottest porn film.
